As I’ve previously noted, I’m sometimes interviewed by a leading Indian broadcaster, WION, about U.S. current events and foreign policy. WION recently contacted me to comment on the August 29 Harris/Walz CNN interview. Here’s the video. (Apologies for the fact that I’m slightly out of focus, which actually might be better for my appearance, and for the sound being occasionally glitchy.)
I hope that my observations are worth considering, but in any event you might find it of interest to learn a bit about what educated Indian audiences are interested in regarding our presidential campaign.

Thanks, Steve.
Yes, always good to hear from people outside our country.

Thanks Steve. Chuckled at your “midwestern down to earthiness” comment re:Walz.
Recent conversation with a fellow ex-Madisonian who happened to be there when Harris-Walz blew in for a pre-convention rally.
From the buzz there at that time, he believes Walz will be big help toward winning WI and MI. Of course that leaves several other of the “swingers” in play. Also wonder if MT is too far away for it to help Tester win re-election, seemingly important to retaining control of the senate.

Thx, James. The more I see and hear of Walz, the more I think Harris picking him was a wise choice, not least for the reasons you mention.

Well done, Steve. “Stay out of the pig-sty” I’ll be sure to use that phrase soon 🙂
